I am a reporter for the Sydney Star Observer newspaper where I headup the editorial team as News Editor. I try to focus on federal politics and government affairs, but frequently stray for the sake of a good story. I also have a semi-regular spot on Joy Melbourne Radio's Rainbow Report.
My blog Gayety.net was discontinued after six rewarding years so I could focus on my professional writing.
Born and raised in Mildura, in the rural far north-west corner of Victoria, I left home to discover the world through the most archetypal sandstone university in affordable reach. I studied computer science and liberal arts and took leadership roles in a variety of campus clubs.
I've performed in scouting gang shows, won national-level skating championships, tutored aspiring geeks, written for government ministers, found time to live a bit.
I like historical intrigue, programming just for fun, writing for fun and profit, climbing national monuments, walking through strange suburbs and observing people from afar.
